Hudson Summary

I'm way over due for summaries on the kids, so first up is Hudson. The first word that comes to mind for Hudson is goofy. When he is not so silly, he is funny and has some quick come backs. He's a pretty cool kid!

He is sweet and puts others above himself. If it comes down to one piece of candy or a prize left he will let another kid have it and go without. If Gianna is upset, he will do something funny to make her laugh.
Loves being outside playing and riding his bike. He usually goes outside right when he wakes up. He comes up with different contraptions using the bikes, the ziggle and a dolly.

The kids love the dirt pile behind our house and spend hours out there.

His face lights up to food especially sweets and his favorite, which is still crawfish. He always asks us if its crawfish season yet. He can take the heat and likes jalepeno chips and boiled peanuts too. The other day he said, "oooh coffee"

He likes to go to the vending machines in the high school. He told me he will need a wallet for school when he gets older.

He started taking showers, which makes him seem so much like a boy. He also likes to take baths where he lays back and will sit in there for a while.
A lot of times he gets out of the car when we get on our road and runs home to beat the car.

Most nights he is so tired, he will fall asleep quickly. He likes to sleep with a heating pad when his legs hurt.

He is reading well. They are doing accelerated reader and tests in school and he has been doing good. It motivates him to read more. Mrs. Rose says he is also very good at math.
He likes to read his Bible, books about animals, signs and anything else...like nutrition facts. He started reading, "total fat" on bottles :)  We can no longer spell things in front of him.
He is also a thinker and offers his suggestions on things.
He wore shorts all through winter and only wants to wear pants when he has too. He thought his school pants looked funny and saw Josh wearing shorts all the time. He also likes being casual and doesn't want to "dress up"

He does chores around the house, but now wants to know if he can get paid!

He is very into camouflage lately! He wants everything to be camo. He got a fleece jacket after Christmas and a new book sack and lunch box.

We just did his room in camouflage/hunting theme

He is interested in guns and hunting right now. Josh took him to the shooting range and he shot Josh's AR. He did very good.

"take a picture of me"

He lost his first tooth on December 16th . He was so excited about it. He said, "I have been waiting years for this!"
The tooth next to it came out on February 18th. It was loose for a while and he pulled it himself!

His favorite color is green. He likes to draw pictures, learn about animals and watch Wild Kratts. His best friend is Kaden.

He did his own instructional video like on You Tube Kids

Huddy is a sweet boy with a sensitive heart. He is emotional some times and a little shy. He doesn't talk a whole bunch, but when he does we listen :)

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
