March

Hudson finished up the spring soccer season

He played goalie at the last game

Papa said his head was burning and Gianna let him use her Hello Kitty umbrella
Kaden said his head was burning too
We had a lot of rain in March, so the kids played in the puddles quite a bit. Emma and Parker ride home with us on Thursdays, so they joined in too.

They caught tadpoles in the ditch

Hudson put some in our kettle, but they didn't make it

Josh took Hudson to the Arena Cross dirt bike races in Lafayette at the Cajun Dome. Josh got him a jersey to wear before they left. They got to walk in the pits and on the track before the races.

Hudson got autographs and posters from the drivers.

They got Kevin Windham's autograph too

They had a great time and Hudson talked about it for days after.

We planted three fruit trees. We have an apple, Washington navel and a satsuma tree. They are doing fine so far.

The kids and I refreshed the flower pots
Leilynn had her 12th birthday, making us feel old! She is a good little mama to her cousins. She teaches them manners and corrects them.
We went to a spring festival with Jen, Nana B and Paw Paw. They did an Easter egg hunt and got lots of candy.
They got their faces painted. That was the first time for Gianna, she has always been scared.

They had an inflatable obstacle course and slides.

And then I got stuck in the mud when tying to turn around in the grass. This nice father and son pulled me out!
Josh requested a cookie cake for his birthday, so we picked it up at the mall. I let the kids play for a little while.

The kids gave him his present when we got home
We had crawfish and cake at his parent's house that night
Josh was off the next day, so we had lunch and a family day.
He won the kids each a bear out of the claw machine. They were very happy!

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
