Nana and Papa took the kids to sleep at the camp the day before New Year's Eve. We went down on New year's Eve and spent the night too. They had a lot to tell us when we got there. They found a dog named Lula Bell and even had a song about it.
It was very cold and the kids gathered sticks for the fire.
We did a lot of sitting around the fire and drinking hot coffee and cider.
I missed the fireworks because Gianna was scared and wanted me to sit inside with her.
Jen and Mario brought paper lanterns which were very pretty, but had trouble staying up.
Everyone went for a walk in the woods. Rubber boots were required because it was so wet and the water was deep in spots.

Josh cooked us a pork chop gravy for lunch before we left and it was very good.
