Fall/Thanksgiving

Papa & Nana with Hudson at Grandparents Day

The kids watching the Veteran's Day parade in front of church on November 8. They really enjoy parades.
They had their bags full of candy, beads and trinkets. Gianna wasn't scared of the sirens this time.

Hudson is on the A B Honor Roll at school
He is looking so grown up in his yearbook picture!
Hudson finished up the fall soccer season. We watched him even in the rain and cold!

Hudson stopping the ball

We went to a family day at the skate park on a Sunday afternoon. The kids brought their scooters and ziggle to ride. It was a nice fall day to be outside.

Huddy was doing well trying out the jumps and walls.
Gianna loves her Uncle Luke because he is "so silly"

Gianna is not scared to try new things. Here she is running and jumping up the skate bowl.

Hudson had a Thanksgiving feast at school before they got out for the week. Josh did the turkey and we all ate lunch with him.
Some of the grandparents came also: Nana & Papa and then Nana B. Glad they could go! Hudson really likes when people come visit at school.

We invited some friends over to pack Christmas shoe boxes for Operation Christmas Child. I have wanted to do it with them before so we planned it for this year. I thought it would be fun to do it as a group activity and for the kids to learn how to give.
We went to the store and the kids picked out items for a child their age and gender. I think it's a good tradition we can start.

Dillon was in town for a wedding and we had dinner with him (Leilynn's artistic photo taking)

The night before Thanksgiving, the kids made an owl craft at Nana and Papa's house and then we had lunch there the next day. Hudson did his all by himself.
Gianna wants to do it by herself, but she still needs help.

We had dinner at my mom's house that night. My mom won a selfie contest and got a catered dinner, so no one had to cook.

The grandchildren at the Ropollo Thanksgiving meal. It was a good surprise to have Shawna and her kids.

We have so much to be thankful for. God has blessed us and is always faithful to provide! We had a new record this year- none of us went to the doctor for sickness. Thankful for a happy and healthy family!!

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
