The end of February is always fun because we have a few occassions to celebrate. We don't usually go out for Valentine's Day because my birthday and our anniversary are the next week. My mom offered to keep all the grandkids for us to go out.
We decided to do a sibling dinner (with spouses) and went for coffee after. Dillon was in town and he came along too. We had a fun night of talking and laughing.
Josh gave me a cookie bouquet and the kids each got a cookie.
Hudson had a Valentine's celebration at school where they exchanged valentine's. Each child made a box decorated with things they love. Hudson chose family, animals and crawfish!
He was excited about getting candy from his zoo buddies
He was out of school the next week for winter break. We made some winter themed crafts since it was still cold. They did an Olaf craft and we made "snow".
Fake snow was a cool idea, but it got very messy. It would make a better outside craft if we do it again.
Josh and I took them to lunch one day. Hudson wanted Raising Cane's, but when we got there it was closed for Mardi Gras. We ate Chinese instead.
On the last day, we met Jen and her kids at a playland. We planned on going to the zoo, but it was cold and rainy. The weather changes so much, it is hard to plan things.
Even though we didn't do exactly what Hudson wanted, he was happy to do something else.
Jennifer and I celebrated our 31st birthday together. We started the day at breakfast with my dad.
Then, we went to get our nails and hair done.
That afternoon my mom hosted a dinner party for us with gumbo, cake and presents.
My mom had Jamie re-make some shirts that we loved when we were kids. Now, we just need some crawfish :)
The kids were using a big rope to jump rope and then the adults joined in. Almost everyone took a turn. It was so funny!
I went to have dessert with friends and Hudson left this note on the counter for me.
We were married 9 years on the 24th. Hudson took our picture-after many tries! I'm thankful for a great husband who is a hard worker, provider and giver.
We went to eat dinner and took the kids along. We talked about how things have changed from the early years until now, but we wouldn't trade these two for anything!
We ended up at DeAngelos where we had our first date and rehearsal dinner. On another night we went to a nice dinner alone and spent the day together without the kids.
