Hudson and Gianna

They both went for their first dentist appointment on July 16. Gianna was scared from the start. It took us 2 hours to get there with a wreck, so her anxiety was building.
We were in the waiting area with the kids playing and Gianna fell and hit her eye on the window! She was crying and it added more fear to her visit.
They let me walk them back to the play area and they were to get their teeth cleaned without me.

Hudson did fine on his own, but they came and got me for Gianna. I had to hold her down for the nurse to clean her teeth. It was terrible! At least it was over quick.
They both had good teeth and no cavities.

Gianna started going to children's church on July 13 and was so excited about it! She had been asking to go for a couple of months.

She got stung on the hand by a wasp at Kaden's party. It puffed up, but not a bad reaction.

Her 3 year well check went well. She did much better getting examined this time.
38.5 inches tall (80th percentile)
31 lbs (50th percentile)
The doctor thinks she will be tall, about 5'7".
They have been playing together a lot better. They will fight sometimes and Hudson likes to instigate with Gianna. They do a lot of pretend play together like house, store, restaurant, dress up and perform for us.

Together, they are pretty loud and get wild at times.

* Gianna plays well by herself, but she is loud and it sounds like more than just one person in the room

* she repeats whatever Hudson says and thinks it's funny

* she wakes up in the morning very happy and chatty

* a good eater who likes oranges, grapes, apples, string cheese, green beans and broccoli
*carries toys around in the from the house to the car and store, likes to have a purse or bag

Some of her phrases are:

"What in the world?"
"That's so funny!"
" I got this" ( a Josh quote) or "I got it"
"Hudson must be shy, he's hiding."
"I can do it myself"
"Just a lil bit"
"Daddy will love it"

* She acts like a dog all time. Crawling on the floor, whining and playing fetch.

*She talks excitedly and loudly. We are practicing our inside voice.

*Wants to do things by herself and is confident that she can

*She is a good helper with tasks

*We got rid of the toddler bed and got her a twin bed with an antique headboard

* Hudson thinks about Gianna by letting her have his stuff or bringing her a prize

* He gets so aggravated with Gianna if she keeps asking the same question over and over.

* He was having bad dreams, waking up during the night and wanting to sleep in our bed. Now, if he comes in our room he makes a pallet on the floor.

* He is a sweet boy with a giving heart

* He set the table one morning on his own and told Gianna, " I didn't want mom to have to do all the work."

* He has been singing and writing worship songs. One song was, "God is better than all the people. You are the only one I always trust in."

*says he wants to play drums in church when he gets big

* a good eater who likes strawberries, bananas, salad, celery, green beans and pudding
blessing his corn dog in Walmart
He can ride his bicycle and dirt bike without training wheels. He has been riding his bike for a few weeks and just started on the dirt bike yesterday.

We updated his room with a new comforter, rug and wall decor. I had bought stuff for the walls a while back and forgot about doing it.

Some of his phrases:
"that is weird"
"that is so strange"
"I got this"
"Gianna, why do you say the same thing all the time."
"I don't know"
" I can't remember"

He is doing well in school and we are liking Christian Life so far. In addition to his regular subjects he has music, art, Spanish and computer.

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
