Spring

We have been doing some Spring things with the nice weather. We only get a small window of "nice" weather before the heat gets here. Our kids really like being outside.

They have been playing soccer and baseball

It's crawfish season right now and both Hudson and Gianna like crawfish. Josh and I have to peel a lot more and a lot faster to keep up with them.

Emerie spent the night and Hudson wanted to sleep on the floor with her.
Even a little water fun. Watering the plants turned into watering each other.

The library had four Monday programs which we attended. Hudson was not that into it this time. I don't know if he was getting too old for this age group or it wasn't that interesting to him.
Gianna really enjoyed it and was learning the songs already.
We went to the Kite Festival a couple weeks ago. It was the perfect windy day for kite flying.

We got them kites from the dollar store to fly. They only did it for a few minutes because Hudson wanted to play on the inflatables.
So off we went to play...
Hudson went on all the slides

Gianna was scared to slide or bounce. She wouldn't even get in the bouncy house. I went down the slide once with her.

Grace had her princess birthday party over the weekend. Gianna was dressed in her Belle costume. At first, she didn't want to put it on and later I couldn't get her to take it off.
Our little princess and knight
It was a really cute party and all the kids had fun

Gianna ran over to pick up the candy after it dropped out the pinata
She got in the jumpy towards the end of the party and liked it

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
