February recap

We don't usually do much for Valentine's Day since my birthday and our anniversary are within 10 days after. Josh did a surprise dinner at home the night before- it was very sweet!

Josh had been working a lot and he had a free Saturday two weeks ago. We had a little family day to spend time together. Josh and Hudson played frisbee in the yard.
Josh convinced Hudson to get in this culvert and rolled him around inside. He liked it!

Then, Hudson rolled Josh around too. Gianna would not get in at all :)
We planned on doing something outdoors, but it got cold and windy. We ate lunch at Raising Cane's and then went to Bass Pro Shop.

The aquarium was drained for repairs, so that was a bummer. They tried out the boats and vehicles and looked at the animals.
Hudson said, "Why are we leaving? We didn't get to do anything." I guess Bass Pro was more entertaining when he was younger. I'm glad we were able to spend time together as a family.
We upgraded my Yukon in January and we are enjoying our new ride.
The kids are really liking the DVD player and the car rides have been very peaceful :)

This past weekend was busy and full of birthdays. For my birthday we did a few things. Jennifer had everyone over Wednesday night for dinner. Josh and I went to dinner Thursday night while the kids spent the night at my in laws. On Friday, we spent the day together and had a home meeting that night. They surprised Jessica and I with a cake and balloons(her birthday was on Friday).

We attended two kid birthday parties on Saturday. The first one was at Chuck E Cheese and the other at the bowling alley. Hudson and Gianna had a blast!

It was his first time bowling and he really liked it. He asked to go back again.

Saturday night we celebrated with my family at Carrabba's

Josh got me a cookie bouquet. The red and yellow roses represent the day he proposed. For the proposal he had yellow roses for the years we were friends and a red rose for love. He did good! Hudson and G enjoyed it with me.

I'm blessed to have family and friends to celebrate these special occassions with. I will be going to New York in two weeks with my sister to celebrate some more with her and some friends.

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
