Gianna's birth

Our little girl is finally here! The day went smoothly with no complications.
This is my last pregnant picture at 39 weeks, the morning of the induction.

I had to be at the hospital at 7:00 a.m.

I had visitors throughout the day, including Hudson. He wasn't too fond of seeing me in the bed hooked up to the machines. He was ready to see his sister and she wasn't here yet.

This is the break down of how the labor went. I changed rooms at one point, so I have added the rest of the day.

4:15 4-5 cm
5:15 9 cm
5:35 10 cm
5:45 started pushing
6:14 time of delivery

I was starting to think it was going to be a repeat of Hudson's birth (18 hours from start to birth). The doctors and nurses kept telling me if I made it to 4 cm, I would go fast after that. It was just taking a little while to get to 4 cm and I was getting a little discouraged. I tried to hold out on the epidural because I didn't want it to slow down the labor. I endured for as long as I could and I was almost to 4 cm when I got it. Sure enough, after 4 cm it went way faster than I thought! I didn't have to push much for Hudson because he needed to come out and forceps were used. For Gianna, I had to do some work to get her out.

8 lbs, 10.4 oz and 22 inches long! I never thought I would have had this size baby. She is the same length as Hudson was at birth, he weighed 7 lbs 11 oz.

Gianna and I meeting up close

Hudson came to meet her and after he heard her cry he left out and played in the hall. Over the next 2 days, he really took to her and loves his sissy very much.

We are now a family of four

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
