Indoor fun/35 weeks

It's still hot outside, but it's also been raining a lot. We have been seeking indoor activities to do. One day we went to the library for a program called Zoo Zoom. They take animals that are injured or that people couldn't take care of. The kids got to get an up close look at some of the animals and pet them. Hudson only wanted to touch a few, but he really enjoyed seeing them.

Josh and I took him to see Cars 2. It was his third movie to see at the theater. He did really well because we brought his car seat and buckled him in. He also had snacks to keep him busy.

We took a trip with the Russo's to the aquarium in New Orleans last Saturday. It was very crowded and I didn't get many great pictures. I guess everyone was looking for an inside activity. Hudson was excited to see the animals and had a great time.

Jen and Nash were in town for a few days and stayed with us, so Hudson had a lot of company. Him and Nash played pretty well together and Hudson was looking for him after they left.

I haven't taken a pregnancy picture in a while, so I guess it's time for one and an update. For the past week I have been having Braxton Hicks contractions. It feels like Gianna is dropping. I went for a weekly visit Thursday at 35 weeks, 3 days. I was checked for the first time, but no dilation. She felt her head and said my cervix was softening. I wasn't expecting any progress yet, but things are going in the right direction. I'm definitely physically ready for her to come. I'm getting more uncomfortable and still have back pain a lot. Her room is almost done and I will have pictures soon. We have all the baby gear and clothes we need, they just need to be washed and put away. I'm hoping this week everything will get done.

You really look soooo good. If you cover up your belly, you can't even tell you're pregnant :-) We are excited to meet Gianna soon and have her part of the family. I know Hudson will love his little "sissy". He is going to look like such a big boy when she comes!!

She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
