It’s Hudson’s last month as a pre-toddler. He is growing so fast. I didn't see him for a few days after I got my wisdom teeth out. When he came home, I thought he looked so much older. Here is what our little man has been doing in the last month.

Anxiety
The anxiety has passed for the most part. He is becoming more familiar with people he sees often like our neighbors. They have pets, so that may help entice him over.
Eating
Some foods he was eating now he won’t touch. He is judging food by the way it looks before trying it. A few new things are cucumbers, bananas, and grapes .
Communication
He can definitely get his point across whether it’s through pointing, gestures or words. Some new words he is saying (or at least I can understand): hot, juice, Barney, Blue (Blue’s clues), dog. I taught him a few signs when he was getting frustrated. He learned please, more and all done. He says Mama, which sounds like Mum Mum about a 100 times a day. It’s a universal word for getting our attention.

Learning
He is definitely learning from watching us, imitating our motions and sounds. He acts like he puts lotion on his hands , make up on his face, puts q-tips in his ears, etc. You realize how much a child is watching you when they pick up your habits. It seems like he does a lot of girly things like his Mama, but he spends a lot of time with me. I assure you he is ALL BOY!
Hudson is listening very well and following simple instructions. He is getting to be a good helper on his own. He wants to help unload the dishes and put clothes in the washer. He knows how to throw things in the garbage and claps afterward. I have seen him throw a few things away that weren't garbage. If things go missing, I know where to look.

Playing
Still waiting on the cooler temps, but that doesn’t stop him from playing outside. He watches the door and waits for Daddy to get home, and then he wants Josh to take him outside. Hudson likes to play in the gravel road and throw rocks. He got a nasty little boo boo while playing with a blanket on his head. He fell and hit his eye on a basket. It was over quick when he got a popsicle.

His favorite shows are still Barney and Blue’s Clues. He also likes Handy Manny now.

Here is a video of him doing the thinking chair from Blue’s Clues.
