Road Trip

Hudson went on his first road trip over the weekend. Josh's cousin, Bethany, got married. Josh was also an usher in the wedding. We traveled all the way to San Angelo, Texas which is about 10 1/2 hours one way from Port Allen. This was Hudson's longest time in the car and he did so great. He had a few times where he was upset, but it was so minor considering he had been in the car so much. He had dvds, books, toys and people to entertain him along the way. Papa, Nana Ang and Aunt Cadie were keeping Hudson happy in the back seat. I felt like we had packed everything, but the kitchen sink. We were prepared and didn't forget anything. This was a trip of firsts for Hudson. His first road trip, first time to Texas, first stay at a hotel, first time meeting some of the Russo family. There were a few firsts for us as well: feeding, burping and changing diapers on the side of the road. It was interesting, but our first trip was a success.

We stayed at house next to a creek outside of town for one night. Papa went fishing and showed Hudson the big fish he caught.

I know it is such an ordeal to travel with a little one and we really appreciate you guys making the trip! Hopefully it won't be too long before we see you again! Any talk of a cousin reunion???

Looks like everyone had a great time and we are sorry that we missed it. Hudson looks like he was happy on the trip and I heard lots of stories of what a good boy he was.

Hudson did great on the trip. We had a great time-he did a lot more of laughing than crying. It was amazing when he did start to fuss or cry all we had to do was put on worship music or his praise baby dvd and he would stop. He's such a sweetheart!!-Nana Ang

Rehearsal was on Friday April 11th. Gianna and Grace went early to help with the littles. We had tickets to Showcase 2 on Saturday  The girls in their dressing room. They were in all four showcases that weekend.  Tap - "Shake" Jazz - "Take it All Back"  Pointe- "O The Blood"  Ballet Intense - "My America" Ballet - "Flowers"  Hip Hop Gianna celebrated her 10th year with DDA and had a special tribute during the recital.  This is proof that Hudson went  So proud of Gianna for her hard work. She did a great job! The ballet and pointe dances were so powerful and beautiful this year! I always get teary when I watch and this year was no different.  I volunteered on Sunday for the last showcase I was with a class next to Jules and got to watch some of her dances from back stage.  Gianna and Jules were both in this showcase, so my parents came to watch on Sunday A long weekend for the big girls, but they love doing it

March 2025

4-H shooting regionals was held the week of March 17th. Hudson had archery on Tuesday.  He placed 4th in his category and was going to state! Josh was out there all week since he is a coach  Hudson had shot gun events on Friday and Saturday.  Coach Mr. Donald and team They pray before they start  Kaden made it to state in shotgun This was his first year shooting advanced shot gun and it was tougher, but we are proud of him for trying it.  Hudson finished his driver's ed class. He got a 98 on the driving portion.  We celebrated Josh's 45th birthday at his parent's house. His mom made lasagna.  The beans were an inside joke  I made him Granny Lois' lemon pound cake  We went to lunch for Jamie and Leilynn's birthdays at Building 5 I gave Jamie a kitchen towel with Granny's pound cake recipe. She loves that cake and I have been wanting to make it for her. She loved it and cried.

February 2025

The girls had dress rehearsal for dance. I went on the Thursday class on the 6th. We got to see a preview of the dances.  Hudson had his first driving session on February 10th. He has to do 8 hours of driving with 2 hours being at night. I waited in the parking lot until he left. We did pretty good waiting while he was gone, but we kept checking Life 360. He said it was fine, I thought he was a little nervous. Afterward, he said it was no big deal. I guess we shouldn't be surprised, since he has been driving off road vehicles since he was young.  We spent Valentine's Day at home and made pizzas.  My birthday was on a Friday and I had work. Josh surprised me with an orchid for my desk.  I had lunch with some of my family at Albashas. Dillon was in town for something else and was able to come to lunch.  We celebrated our 19th anniversary by going to The little Big Cup in Arnaudville.  The food was really good. I had the crab cake and eggplant stack and Josh h...
